Surviving Holiday Season Stress

The holiday season is here, and while that means time for family, friends, and lots of good food, this season can also bring more severe stress and anxiety than any other time of the year. These emotional triggers can be anything from painful memories to social anxiety, and they can really make it hard to enjoy what seems like a festive season for everyone else. If you’re struggling this holiday season, remember to take time for yourself. Autumn holidays often trigger feelings of nostalgia and sadness, so take extra steps to take care of yourself during this transitional time, whether that means stepping away from the party to breathe for a moment, or channeling your feelings into a journal entry, or even just finding a quiet space to come face-to-face with your emotions.
