Wellspring Behavioral Health is proud to welcome the newest member of our staff, Sarah Archer!

Sarah has a MA of Counseling from St. Edwards University, and also holds a BS from the University of North Texas in Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Human Development. Sarah brings with her over 18 years experience of working with children, teens and young adults in an array of settings. Sarah’s passion is supporting others as they navigate through many of life’s transitions. She approaches therapy and life from a holistic perspective of mind, body and soul being all connected causing responses based on past experiences mixed with the idea of what “should” be happening. Together in the therapy relationship she introduces the idea of acceptance of here and now and how to practice it in everyday life.

Sarah is a local Austinite, newly married and the mother of a sweet baby boy and white fluffy dog. In her down time she enjoys being outside (on cool breezy days), yoga, walking Town Lake, baking, revamping furniture, traveling and spending time with her friends and family.

Practicing Mindfulness

If your life is full to the brim and faster paced than you can handle, you may have a hard time slowing down. Practicing mindfulness will enable you to calm and soothe yourself so that you can handle all those stressors more effectively.

Living with Depression

“Living with depression and anxiety is, for me, an exercise in taking it day-by-day, moment-by-moment.” Anyone can experience depressive symptoms, no matter where you are in life. If you’re struggling with your mental health, know you don’t have to go it alone.
